How to Register Parents and Guests
We encourage up to two parents or guests to attend orientation with you, but it is not required. You will have the opportunity to enter their name when you register for orientation. However, all parents and guests register once they arrive at orientation. Please visit Parents and Guests for more information about parents and guests attending orientation.
Orientation Fees
All new students enrolling at the U of A pay a one-time New Student Fee which encompasses orientation, First Year Experience, and the Campus Card Fee. For each parent or guest who attends orientation with you over the age of 12, the student will have a $50.00 per person guest fee added to your student account. The Guest Fee supports Parent & Family Programs within the Office of New Student and Family Programs. This office serves as the primary liaison between the university and Razorback families, offering specific programs, resources, and services to help you along your way. By attending orientation as a guest, you are considered a member of the Parent and Family Partnership Association.

Students will meet with an academic advisor virtually regardless of whether they register for a virtual or on-campus session. Registrants for virtual sessions will be advised and register for classes the day of their orientation session. Registrants of on-campus sessions will be advised and register for classes a week before their orientation session.
