We are excited to welcome you to new student orientation at the University of Arkansas!

Orientation is more than just academic advising and class registration. It's your official introduction to the U of A. Have fun, meet new people, learn about campus, and get acquainted with your new home.

During Orientation

  • Discover different campus services and resources like academic supportdining options, living on campus, health services, safety, and the best ways to get involved and enjoy your time here.
  • Meet other new students with similar majors and get to know upperclassmen that have great tips for getting started at the University of Arkansas.
  • Have the chance to enjoy an evening program packed with food, activities, prizes, and fun.
  • Learn about your college and major.
  • Be introduced to an academic advisor in order to create an academic plan and register for classes.
  • Find out what makes the University of Arkansas unique.

Which Orientation is Best for Me?

Spring Orientation
is designed for any freshman, transfer freshman, or transfer student who is beginning classes at the University of Arkansas in the spring semester. This session will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude by 5 p.m. Students and their guests will learn about various campus services and resources, as well as their college and major. Students will meet with an academic advisor and register for classes at orientation; however, transfer students with more than 24 transferrable credit hours should be advised prior to attending orientation.
Spring Online Orientation
is designed for transfer students with more than 24 transferrable credit hours. This online video will discuss various campus services and resources. Students may then meet with an academic advisor and register for classes.
Honors 2-Day Orientation
is designed for new freshmen and transfer freshmen who meet the requirements for the University of Arkansas Honors College. This session will begin at 2 p.m. on day 1 and conclude at 3 p.m. on day 2. Complimentary housing is available for students, if they wish to stay on campus. During this session, students and their guests will learn about the Honors College, as well as various campus services and resources, while also having the opportunity to meet other students and learn more about their college and major. Students will meet with an academic advisor and register for classes at orientation.
Traditional 2-Day Orientation
is designed for any new freshman or transfer freshman at the University of Arkansas. This session will begin at 3 p.m. on day 1 and conclude at 3 p.m. on day 2. Complimentary housing is available for students, if they wish to stay on campus. During this session, students and their guests will learn about various campus services and resources, while also having the opportunity to meet other students and learn more about their college and major. Students will meet with an academic advisor and register for classes at orientation.
Traditional 1-Day Orientation
is designed for any new freshman or transfer freshman who is looking for an expedited orientation experience. This session will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at 5 p.m. During this session, students and their guests will learn about various campus services and resources, as well as the student’s college and major. Students will meet with an academic advisor and register for classes at orientation.
Transfer 1-Day Orientation
is designed for transfer students who have obtained more than 24 transferrable credit hours. This session will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude by 5 p.m. Students and their guests will learn about various campus services and resources, as well as the student’s college and major. Transfer students should be advised prior to attending orientation. Learn more about transfer 1-Day orientation.
Fall Online Orientation
is designed for transfer students with more than 24 transferrable credit hours. This online video will discuss various campus services and resources. Students may then meet with an academic advisor and register for classes.

Note: All orientation sessions are available on a first come, first served basis. Each college has a set number of spots available at each session, and once full, that session will be closed. However, if students drop out of a session, it will open back up on ISIS for other students to select.
